Vintage Deadstock - Gabardine - Broken Paisley
This product is currently sold out.
These are vintage deadstock fabrics from the 1950s/60s. Deadstock fabric is often leftover fabric from textile mills or designer leftovers. It is often a one off bolt of fabric, may be flawed (we will note these) have unknown content and country of origin. They are not re-orderable so keep that in mind if something catches your eye.
Gabardine is a tightly woven fabric that is hard-wearing, durable, firm and can stand the test of time. Because of its durability, gabardine is commonly used to make jackets and pants although a lovely shift or wiggle type dress like those found in Gertie Sews book would be the perfect pairing!
