This issue celebrates the unique spirit of the Nordic summer, bright nights, playful creativity, and practical garments designed for life between nature and the city. It’s a fleeting moment that brings joy and a gentle sense of urgency: the feeling that every day should be lived to the fullest.

Nordic style holds a fascinating contradiction. Alongside its minimalism lives a strong sense of playfulness and freedom. With fewer rigid dress codes and a shorter fashion tradition in the North, there has always been space for bold colours, unexpected ideas, and joyful experimentation. Nordic culture embraces both simplicity and exuberance.

Inside, you’ll discover 9 sewing patterns by independent designers from around the world, inspired by the experience of Nordic summer. Expect practical garments made for layering, designs that move effortlessly between city and nature, and pieces that capture the freedom of long midsummer nights.

Each pattern design comes with printed sewing patterns and step-by-step instructions, making them accessible for sewists of all skill levels. With sizes ranging from 31"/78 cm to 57.5"/146 cm bust, these patterns celebrate creativity for every body.

Practicality. Light. Playfulness. A touch of beautiful madness.

Alongside the patterns, you’ll find essays and stories exploring Nordic style from new perspectives, revealing how diverse and evolving this tradition truly is.
