Ajrakh hand block print fabric is crafted using an ancient traditional technique, believed to be over 4,500 years old. Ajrakh is also the traditional attire of the Maldhari pastoral community of Bhuj. The process is intricate and time-consuming, involving multiple stages where each layer of color is printed only after a resting period.

Natural dyes may be unstable, consider taking dye setting measures. Gentle hand washing separately in cold water recommended. Avoid soaking. Expect some bleeding of excess dye during first wash. A handful of table salt in the first couple of washes may help set dyes.
