Bagh hand block printed fabric from the Bagh village in the Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh, known for its traditional printing techniques practiced for generations. This fabric was crafted by master artisan, Mohammed Rafik Ji Khatri. Designs are created using hand-carved wooden blocks. Fabric is traditionally washed after printing in the flowing waters of the Baghini River which helps to fix the dyes and enhance their richness, adding a subtle natural sheen.

As with any hand made item, imperfections are to be expected and should be regarded as part of the charm of this piece.

Natural dyes may be unstable, consider taking dye setting measures. Gentle hand washing separately in cold water recommended. Avoid soaking. Expect some bleeding of excess dye during first wash. A handful of table salt in the first couple of washes may help set dyes.
