In creating her first batik collection, Here There, Marcia Derse sought out new ways of designing.

"Nestled in a tattered box of old carving tools I found a small stamp etched from an eraser that I had made years ago. Reassured in finding a familiar place to start, my new marks traveled from my Pacific-North west island to far away Indonesia to have a conversation revolving around color.
