A fresh spin on the traditional Birds In the Air Quilt Block this pattern features paper pieced Half Rectangle Triangles that are placed on the diagonal. The two background fabrics gives it a fresh look and feel. This pattern was designed as part of a challenge with Free Spirit Fabrics and was inspired by the classic yet fresh look of Denyse Schmidt's quilts, the beautiful color palette of the DS Modern Solids and the traditional Birds in the Air quilt block.
