Akola hand block printed slub fabric from the village of Akola in Rajasthan. This centuries old printing tradition uses a mud-resist printing technique practiced for generations by skilled artisans of the Chippa community. The designs are created using hand-carved wooden blocks, carefully applied on slub cotton to form distinctive motifs.

As with any hand made item, imperfections are to be expected and should be regarded as part of the charm of this piece.

Natural dyes may be unstable, consider taking dye setting measures. Gentle hand washing separately in cold water recommended. Avoid soaking. Expect some bleeding of excess dye during first wash. A handful of table salt in the first couple of washes may help set dyes.
